About Us

My name is Kirsten Smith, and I have been a hair stylist in Madison for the past eighteen years, trained in Aveda theory and technique. I have always had a passion for hair cutting and coloring, and dreamed of opening my own business. Nine years ago, I opened The Purple Chair Salon.

As my guest, you will experience one-on-one, personal care. My goal and mission is to create an environment focused on your needs. Being Aveda-educated, I try to keep that same natural element to my work. I believe in a professional, clean atmosphere, and helping you to feel your very best!

I have been working on the west side of Madison but as a long-time resident of Fitchburg, I am very excited to open my new location in the town that I live in and love!! I am especially excited to open my doors to the members of my new neighborhood in Terravessa, right off of Highway 14.
