On January 29th Four Winds Farm will host a dinner celebrating the wines of Vega Sicilia, a legendary winery in the Ribera del Duero region which easily competes for the title of Spain’s most famous winery. You will find a range of wines made from the local Tempranillo grape blended with varieties from Bordeaux, which they were among the first to bring to Spain in the 1860s. Ranging in retail price from under $100 to over $600 for the coveted Unico, which you will taste, these wines can be found in the cellars of the best restaurants around the world. Come experience these rare bottlings with exquisitely paired dishes. The lineup for the evening includes the following:
2019 Pintia Toro D.O.
2019 Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5°
2014 Vega Sicilia Unico
2020 Alion Ribera del Duero
2019 Vega Sicilia Macan
2020 Vega Sicilia Macan Classico
A stellar team will be on hand to guide you through the evening, starting with Caitlyn Mulligan from Europvin, who will be on hand to speak about the wines and wineries. Chef Jon Rosnow returns to Four Winds Farm, and Jay Hutchinson, former sommelier of Michelin-starred Ai Fiori in New York and now Director of Business Operations, will oversee beverage service.
*Guests will be enjoying a set menu for the evening. They are unfortunately unable to accommodate any allergy restrictions/dietary preferences.
