We are thrilled to welcome Winemaker Tom Fitzpatrick of Élevée Wines to taste some of his most exciting Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, including some truly special single vineyard offerings. Even better, we'll be pairing Tom's wines with Pulled Pork and Ribs from Fitchburg favorite, The Thirsty Goat!
Élevée Winegrowers is a "Study in Terroir". Élevée is French for "elevated" and is a reference to the importance of our elevated vineyard sites that all fall within a narrow elevation band ranging from 450ft to 800ft... the sweet spot in the Willamette Valley.
Tom's experience making wine with Domaine Hubert Lignier in Morey-St-Denis Burgundy, cemented Tom's Terroir focus and approach and ignited what has become a life-long obsession. He started this small Family Winery, starting with the purchase of a 25 year old Dundee Hills Estate vineyard from Archery Summit’s Gary Andrus in 2008, which they farmed by hand, selling all the fruit to other wineries, until he and his wife saved enough to make their first 100 cases of wine in 2012.
When we recently tasted through Élevée's current offerings, we were blown away by how each of their wines had a distinct sense of place, and we can't wait to share them with you. This will be an opportunity to eat and drink at your own pace between 2-4 pm, with personal guidance by Tom. We encourage you to arrive by 3 pm to allow enough time to taste through the full line-up.
