Join Four Winds on September 20th for their Icons of Piedmont dinner! Wine lovers will all know this region as the home of the noble Nebbiolo grape, the star of Barolo wine, the most renowned wine in all of Italy. But Piedmont offers so much more to be discovered (or rediscovered, as you will see), so they have thoughtfully assembled this lineup of classic bottlings from benchmark winemakers, exploring unique grapes and terroir. You will sample crisp, lively Erbaluce from Alto Piemonte; richly textured Timorasso from its most important grower; elegant Barolo and fascinating Pelaverga from the hamlet of Verduno; and a historic style of aromatized wine to end the meal, Barolo Chinato. This tour of the region will have something to offer both the curious drinker just getting to know Italian wine and the seasoned aficionado ready for a deep dive into history, viticulture, and terroir.
A stellar team will be on hand to guide you through the evening, starting with Tom Loup of Vino Veritas, who will be on hand to speak about the wines and wineries. Chef Jon Rosnow returns to Four Winds Farm to craft a menu of modern interpretations of regional specialties. Jay Hutchinson, former sommelier of Michelin-starred Ai Fiori in New York and now Director of Sales & Marketing at Four Winds Farm, will oversee beverage service.
Four Winds has assembled an all-star lineup of producers for you, featuring:
- Società Agricola Ferrando
- Vigneti Massa
- Cantina Massara
- A. & G. Fantino
Enjoy five wines during the meal, each paired with an ideal dish to highlight the unique character of each wine.
