Beneath the surface of every great jazz improvisor is a subtle mastery of harmonic movement thru single-note voice-leading. The standard jazz repertoire is largely based upon a beautifully structured harmonic language of interweaving lines that are either endlessly leading or resolving. This workshop will provide improvisers of all skill levels with a variety of creative techniques to use when mastering a tune’s harmonic progression and crafting a meaningful solo through voice-leading.
