Steve Arnold served as Mayor of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, from 2015 to 2017, after representing district 4 on the Common Council for ten years. He was a professor of ecology and an information technology consultant before retiring (except for public service) in 2013. Steve is the Secretary of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin and certified as a League Cycling Instructor by the League of American Bicyclists. Steve is a Director of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin and a member of the League of American Bicyclists, MadCity Velo Club, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Night Riders. Steve was a year-around bicycle commuter from 2007 until his retirement in 2012. Steve also serves on the boards of directors of the Congress for the New Urbanism Wisconsin Chapter and All Aboard Wisconsin. In their free time, Steve and hi wife Nancy enjoy time with family, gardening, kayaking, and, of course, bicycling.
