Job Description
Mechanical Industries is looking for an Administrative Assistant. The Part-Time Administrative Assistant is responsible for adhering to the policies and procedures of the organization. They will report to the Executive Director and provide administrative support to the office staff.

Position Goals:
All tasks performed shall be directly related to the accomplishments of goals indicated below. These tasks are subject to revision/change.

1. Office Administration

a. Answer phones and greet customers

b. Maintain office filing

c. Error-free reports, paperwork and correspondence

d. Assist with member functions

e. Assist with social media platforms

2. Apprenticeship

a. Input monthly work experience cards

b. Help maintain apprentice database

c. Make copies for monthly meetings

d. Maintain JAC files

3. Welding Bureau

a. Help maintain welding continuity database

b. Prepare shop copies and job packets

c. Input new welding tests

d. Maintain welding files

Preferred Qualifications:

· Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skill.

· A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to pitch in to help with any tasks necessary to get the job done.

· Ability to follow directions and work independently to complete projects accurately, on time and with minimal supervision.

· Knowledge of computer skills and social media platforms.
