DESCRIPTION:The Promega Fall Art Showcase presents "From This Place: Three Photographers". This exhibit will feature the works of three distinguished Wisconsin photographers\, each showcasing their unique perspectives and styles.\n\n \n\nLewis Koch draws upon aspects of photography\, sculpture\, assemblage and text to call attention to the often unremarked upon elements of everyday life. Eric Baillies employs 19th century photographic techniques and equipment\, such as handmade silver nitrate glass prints. Terry Talbot has contributed to several Madison alternative press houses and later joined the local radical art movement Gallery 853.\n\n \n\nSymposium and Opening Reception\n\n"From This Place: Three Photographers" opens Tuesday\, September 17 at the Promega BioPharmaceutical Technology Center. The artists will speak at a symposium at 3:30 pm followed by a 4:30-6:30 pm reception. "From This Place: Three Photographers" runs through January 3\, 2025 and is open to the public Monday through Friday 8:00 am   4:00 pm.
