DESCRIPTION:Join Lisa Johnson\, Horticulture Outreach Specialist with Dane County\, as she leads a discussion teaching participants how to become more successful seed starters.  Participants will also have an opportunity to get their hands dirty and take home the results.\n\n\n\nTopics include:\n\n\n\nHow to test seed viability and properly store seeds\n\nIdentifying cool season vs warm season crops\n\nDetermine sowing and growing techniques for different crops using seed packet info\, proper lighting\, temperature\, fertilizer and watering techniques\n\nHow to harden off and transplant seedlings\n\n*Fee: $35 (includes tax & take-home materials)\n\n*Space is limited to 15 participants.\n\n\n\nCOVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:\n\n  Masks are required for all participants (regardless of vaccination status) indoors.\n\n  Social distancing will be observed & participants will be spread out at workstations throughout our Loft area.\n\n  Proof of vaccination is required for participation and will be asked for during check-in.\n\n  If you are exhibiting signs of sickness\, fever\, or general unpleasantness\, please stay home.\n\n\n\n\n\nFor more information feel free to contact us at info@fourwindsfarmfitchburg.com\n\nWe will try to respond within 48 hours of inquiry.
