He began working with bees at the age of 7\, helping his Dad with the family bee hives.   His hands-on education lasted until he went away to college - taking a very long break to do other things.  About 7 years ago\, he happened upon the website horizontalhive.com by Leo Sharashkin and became hooked again.  He does not own a single Langstroth hive.
